Who are you?
I’m just a guy. I am a father of four children, two boys and two girls. I’m married to the most wonderful woman in the world. I graduated from The Art Institute of Atlanta with a BFA in Media Arts and Animation. Currently, I work on stereoscopic imaging at 3dh.
What do you do?
I tend to do whatever interests me (and I’m curious so I stay busy). At work I create toolsets centered around creating stereoscopic imagery. I also create demo content such as making fake commercials or just cool looking graphics. I program in a variety of languages including Python, MEL, MaxScript, ActiveScript, Lua, and some C/C++. I also act as our renderfarm administrator and IT guy, fixing computers and whatnot.
At home I play guitar and piano, draw and paint, juggle, solve Rubik’s cubes as fast as I can (yeah, I’m a geek), read Wikipedia, create useless programs usually in an attempt to become a better programmer, and play with the kids.
What software do you use?
I am proficient in Maya and 3dsMax (includes modeling, rigging, animation, texturing, lighting, and scripting). I also have expereince with various other 3d packages such as Blender, SoftImage and Lightwave. On the 2d side, I am also proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. I am also a big fan of open source software. I mentioned Blender, which is one of my favorite 3d suites, but I also use Gimp, Inkscape, Open Office, Firefox, and several other open source gems.
How can I reach you?
The best way to contact me is through email (arenyart@gmail.com). You can IM at arenyart(at)aol.com, arenyart(at)hotmail.com, arenyart(at)yahoo.com and/or arenyart(at)gmail.com. If you do the myspace thing, you can find me at http://www.myspace.com/arenyart.
Who is your favorite ninja turtle?
Leonardo. (also my favorite artist—the renaissance man not the turtle)
