Work Experience

N4D (2010-Current) Lead Technical Director
  • Work as s3d compositor and cg artist on a wide range of projects including 2d-3d conversion, live action cgi s3d integration, pure cgi content creation, and software development

Sony Pictures Imageworks (2010) Stereoscopic Technical Director

  • Worked as s3d compositor for the feature film G-Force
  • Created an application (SPI Launcher) to expedite the process of setting up and working on a shot

3dh (2006 - 2009) Technical Director / Stereographer with an emphasis on production streamlining and automation.

Primary responsibilities include programming automation software and/or plug-ins for stereoscopic work-flows, designing production pipelines, creating cg content geared towards stereo output, stereo filming, r&d, and all around problem solving.

  • Projects
    • Technical Director of Stereography for “Bug Eyes” animated 3d short series (Yet to be released)
    • Technical Director of Stereography for Israel 60th Birthday Event in LA which included live action footage of a Howie Mandel composited with CGI in 3d
    • Technical Director of Stereography for Tugger: The Jeep 4×4 Who Wanted to Fly (3d version unreleased)
    • 2d - 3d Synthesis Artist for several archived feature films (Technology demos), and a few commercials
    • CG Artist and Stereographer for various other in house stereoscopic projects (e.g. advertisements on autostereoscopic displays, 3d projector demos, real-time visualization examples, client logo animations etc.)
    • Stereoscopic Trainer at Samford University (created 3dsMax and Maya stereoscopic plugins, trained vfx staff on it’s usage and stereoscopic principles, and even set up projectors and screen)

Freelance: Turner Studios (2006) Maya MEL Programmer

Programmed an automation utility that solved a complex problem faced by animators exporting data into a game engine

Created a custom logo for the school nutrition program that is used on all uniforms, publications, letterheads and websites

Home Depot (2005-2006) Customer Service Associate

Worked in several departments and eventually acted as Team Leader for overnight crew while in college. Received recognition for outstanding customer service

Freelance: CryoTech LLC (2005) Graphic Designer

Designed magazine print ads for a leading podiatry publication

Freelance: Dalton Digital Design (2004) Animator and TD

Came up with design ideas and helped create animation for an award show (included programming a small program in C that simulated a Unix shell for animation purposes)

  • 3d Software: Maya, 3dsMax, Lightwave, Houdini, Blender (Scripting, Modeling, Rigging, Animation, Texturing, Lighting, Rendering) and several proprietary applications
  • Other Software: Nuke, Sony’s Katana, Shake, Photoshop, Illustrator, Gimp/Cinepaint, Inkscape, After Effects, Avid, Premiere, Flash, Pro Tools, Microsoft Office and OpenOffice (includes creating complex spreadsheets with charts and formulas and visually rich presentations), Qube! renderfarm management software
  • Programming/Scripting Languages: MEL, MaxScript, Adobe ActionScript, Adobe ActiveScript, Python, Perl, Lua, Bash, and some C/C++ and openGL. Also well versed in HTML and CSS
  • Operating Systems: Linux (and Unix family, including Mac OS X and BSD varieties), Windows and Dos proficiency. Experience as network administrator for both Windows Server 2003 and GNU/Linux systems. I also administer a renderfarm with Windows and Linux nodes (experience with RenderPal, Qube! and Dr. Queue)
